How To Start Becoming A More Fun and Interesting Person

As you grow older and go through different phases of life you’ll develop new social circles. The new jobs you begin can help you to realize that you can get stuck in a particular groove of habits and activities.

Whether you choose to stay in contact with specific social groups and friends over the course of time is your own choice.

The reason I am writing and creating this post, is mainly due to the changes that occur when you graduate through various stages of life. After you jump through certain hoops and try to live life satisfying other people’s expectations, you may begin to become too complacent and too comfortable. What I wanted to create was a list of ideas to go out and explore for people who may have moved, re-located, or simply lost track of their social circles.

With this list you may actually find some enticing activities to add to your weekly schedule to help you live a more fun and interesting lifestyle that will make you more pleasant to be around.

Here is a list of activities to add to your weekly schedule:

  • Join Salsa Dancing

Doing a dance class or getting together for a regular dance at a club or restaurant is a great way to have fun and meet new people. The part of salsa dancing that I like is that it is a effective way to mix and mingle with women and a fun evening out that helps you expand your kinesthetic movement skills and your social skills.

  • Join A Church Volunteering Group

If you belong to a particular denomination of church it can be a really nice community of people with the same religious foundations. If you happen to look into bulletin boards or talk to church members you can likely find some sort of organization or group to participate in.

  • Join a Fitness or Workout Class

Joining a gym enables you to have a nice environment outside of your home to workout and reach all your fitness goals. By attending a gym you also have a nice community of local people who also enjoy engaging in a whole assortment of movement exercises. Meeting somebody else who has common goals as you, is likely to happen in a fitness workout class. Whether you’re into strength building, endurance training, calisthenics, cardio exercise, or group classes any forms of exercise will make you more fit and if you develop your own unique routine of exercise it will make you interesting.

  • Attend Local Festivals

If you attend local festivals it can be a great time and terrific atmosphere full of food, beer, music, and diverse people of all ages and backgrounds. By attending festivals you can always win some free memorabilia, taste some unique cuisine, and run into some entrepreneurs or creative people.

  • Go On Weekend Road Trips

When you go explore new areas on the weekends it can be a fun way to see National Parks, museums, architecture, and local festivals. By going out and visiting new locations it fulfills the hunger for adventure and gives you a greater sense of liveliness within culture.

  • Join A Business Networking Meetup

By joining a business network it will introduce you to successful people in various business ventures. Many people will have some wise words to share and not to mention tips and advice on how to conduct business or connect you with the right people that can help elevate your income or give you access to the tools needed for success.

  • Become An Expert of Some Area of Studies

If you happen to be well read in some specific area of studies it will make you more of an open book when it comes to conversation. It will also help you become very good at what you do. If you can spend enough time mastering some area of study it will open up many more options for you in life.

  • Go For Language Learning Classes or Lectures

Whether you choose to attend a MeetUp, a community college course, or a university class lecture any of those options can give you access to knowledge needed for language learning, not to mention a place to practice your speech along with a lecturer to keep you accountable for what you’re learning.

  • Attend Cooking Classes

By attending cooking classes it gives you a fun environment to showcase you cooking skills that you’ve acquired along with giving you a place to meet people and share fun and healthy recipe’s.

  • Attend University and Campus Club MeetUp Organizations

If you attend club organizations it will give you interesting activities and groups to join. Whether you are a student or a local resident you can attend various events in order to make more connections within the university and the local businesses.

  • Visit Bars and NightClubs

Attending an assortment of bars and nightclubs can open up your personality and give you a fun evening out. With that said, it can be quite pricey expense wise. It can also be somewhat of a waste of an evening if you happen to have a lame crowd or visit the same location too many times. It’s always good to switch up bar and nightclub locations in order to not get bored with the scenery and meet new people. Remember to always be responsible and do your best to avoid trouble.
